Stardust~wasting time

He’s just wasting her time.
At least that’s what he thought.
He knows his heart would crumble, but real love is about seeing their other half happy. He knows that of he keeps dragging their relationship aimlessly like this, he’ll break her heart. No. Even worse. He’ll destroy her.
Their relationship has no point. No marriage in sight.
Maybe she’ll find somebody else to love before their relationship gets deeper, eventually it will drown them both. It’s better to drop her now.
There will still be time for her to, maybe, find someone else to love. To make her happy. To build a family together. Somebody who wouldn’t have a problem putting a ring on her. Just a thought of it made him shiver.
She’s destined to be his. At least that’s what he wants. But he knows not to be selfish. That’s what love is all about.
Maybe someday she’ll understand that it’s all an effort to make her happy.
Her heart might break for a day or two, a month or two…
A year or two…
But she’ll get her life back on track.
Yes, in the eyes of the media he’ll be the villain, but who cares as long as she can and always will be happy?
He prayed again and again, but maybe this is God’s way out for them. Maybe their love story is meant to go on with them being apart.

Stardust~years

A year, two years, three…
Eventually everybody knows.
Knows the reason they clicked so well on screen, and always sticks together off screen.
Midnight birthday surprises;
As the earth revolves again and again around the sun, always one more candle on the anniversary cake.
Red carpets hand in hand; interviews side by side; and by time, they have the most envied across the the country.
Time flies after that one question that broke their solitude years back.
Now people wonders when the next question will be popped; the vows exchanged.
It’s not like they don’t know or don’t care.
They talked about it before under the stars. When they couldn’t come up with a solution, they had a silent agreement of not talking about it anymore. Just let it flow wherever it’s meant to flow.
It’s not that they don’t love each other.
Their flirty fluttery young love feeling have been changed with real solid love years ago.
Now it’s another wall barricading them from each other.
Their wall of beliefs.
He goes to the mosque, she goes to the church.
They have noticed that from the beginning, they just didn’t know that they would last this long for this to be a problem.
Their love is just too strong to take the easy way out, but yet too weak to let go of what they’ve been holding on all their life.
People said that love conquers all, but it seems that there are greater love than humanly love.

Stardust~them

She wanted to be professional.
She doesn’t want to fall in love with the guy she has no chance with.
She strives to get rid of that bad habit.
She never intends on falling anyways.
Her heart hasn’t completely healed yet although it has been years.
And he.
He was this delicious looking guy, every girl longed to be with eventhough only a few are lucky.
After appearing on numerous shows, he has become this multiple award winning, perfect star.
He, just as her, has no intentions whatsoever.
She was no special girl anyways.
Barely talks to him behind the rolling cameras.
The laughs she gave to the cameras, she never shares it with him.
Not that he covets it.
They are always forced to be together.
“Good for business.” As their producer puts it.
Flying on tours side by side,
Red carpets hand in hand,
Interviews in a love seat…
She was not a cold person.
She was just plain polite to him,
Just perfectly how she should be since she’s his junior.
But her words were short.
Always straight to the point.
Something that she always holds back.
Behind the cameras, their time were spent in silence.
No small talk, no jokes, not even scene practices. Just silence.
Instead of feeling empty with their silence, they feel a different kind of peace.
Solitude.
Their quiet relationship is a wall from all the things happening around them.
The noisy world, the thunderous claps, the forced out laughters, the roaring crowd, the snaps of cameras, the lines repeated again and again…
None of that when they’re together.
The bond they had, the time they spent, it was a lifeboat in the middle of the raging sea of artificial.
Maybe it was the peace of solitude, or maybe it was him being afraid of losing his wall of silence, he sliced through that one silence with a question.
She, on the other hand, wonders wether it was business, or it was fate.
Her mind keeps reminding her how exhausted she is of all the rollercoaster feels. But her mind was somewhere else then, some how her heart convibced her that, really, there was nothing to lose.

Stardust~him

Him.
He never knew how the world is like without all the flashes, all the cameras, all the attention.
Being born to an award winning director and a billboard topper duo, even his fetus pictures had millions of likes.
Started on a baby shampoo commercial, now he’s on his way on filling up his second throphy case.
Homeschool doesn’t mean antisocial to him, alright.
Has been dating ever since he understands what dating is.
Has changed girlfriends (or sometimes even sets of girlfriends) more than the number of times his nannies have changed his diapers.
Though many, his girlfriends are only for raising his popularity when needed or other times when he had to clean up some gay rumors.
After a while, he realized how fake his life has been. How meaningless. So he stopped dating the girls he doesn’t love.
Then he also realized that there is no such thing as true love.
People only come into his life for the fame and the fortune.
Though he came to such conclusions, all his life has been a dream, it would seem ungrateful to lash out out of it. So he lives it the best he could and lets fate leads the way.

Stardust~her

So once there was a girl. Caught up in her own imagination. Busied with her dreams. Her reality is everybody’s dream.

Everybody loved her. Her face on the cover of magazines, flying every now and then barely any free time between projects.

Her future’s so bright, even the sun envied her. But a part of her past still haunts her.
A boy to be specific.
His look, his words, how he made her feel like she’s the most beautiful girl in the world. The girl just can’t escape them.
Everybody said it was just puppy love, but she wonders why her heart still aches years later.

But her life now is a dream. She is forced to live it.
The girl is an idolized young actress.
Acted millions of faces, both on screen and off. Her practiced smile brushed boys off their feet, but she can only think of one. Only one.

Eventually behind her many masks, she shoves the boy in the far back of her mind. Never fiddled around with it.
The memories faded. The distance drifted. His voice, his looks, his touch lost in the flutters of business.
But her heart, unlike her smile, never seemed to be perfect again. Always a little empty, or a little cold, or a little sad. Just never perfect.
